Systems Software Engineer – Web Development (React & SharePoint Online)

About the role

The European Investment Bank Group is seeking a Systems Software Engineer specialized in web development to join its digital workplace team in Luxembourg. You will create and maintain custom front‑end components using React for SharePoint Online, collaborating with internal technical teams and external service providers in an agile, sprint‑based environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain custom front‑end components with React for SharePoint Online, including SPFx‑based solutions.
• Translate UX/UI designs into high‑quality, performant, and maintainable code.
• Ensure components comply with coding standards, architectural guidelines, security requirements and accessibility principles.
• Integrate front‑end solutions with SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365 services and existing intranet functionality.
• Support testing, validation, bug fixing and optimisation across development, test and acceptance environments.
• Produce technical documentation, handover materials and facilitate knowledge transfer.
• Collaborate with EIBG technical teams and service providers using an iterative, sprint‑based delivery approach.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field, or at least 8 years of equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 7 years of front‑end software development experience for web‑based applications or portals.
• Proven track record delivering React‑based front‑end projects.
• Experience developing custom components for SharePoint Online, including SPFx solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
