Sustainable Finance Officer – 2-month interim in Luxembourg

About the role

We are seeking a Sustainable Finance Officer to join the Thematics and Advisory Division of a leading financial institution in Luxembourg’s Kirchberg district. The role is a 2‑month interim mission, focused on embedding climate objectives into European financial strategies and offering exposure to high‑impact sustainable finance projects.

Key responsibilities

• Support the rollout and design of climate‑related financial products, targeting sustainability and adaptation goals.
• Serve as an internal reference on EU sustainable finance regulations, translating policy into practical guidance.
• Conduct sectoral research on cleantech, circular economy and critical raw materials to inform decision‑making.
• Maintain stakeholder networks with policymakers and ensure climate strategies are integrated across business lines.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in sustainable finance product design or climate policy.
• Strong knowledge of the EU Sustainable Finance Framework (Taxonomy, SFDR, etc.).
• Excellent command of English; additional EU languages are a plus.
• Proactive, autonomous under pressure and able to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders.
