Supply & Demand Planning Specialist

About the role

As a member of FANUC’s European Supply Chain team, you will ensure product availability across the company’s sales organisations throughout Europe. You will work closely with Sales, Logistics and other supply‑chain functions to deliver accurate demand forecasts, optimise inventory and support high levels of customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse demand trends and develop accurate forecasts to guide inventory optimisation and material planning.
• Continuously review and improve demand forecasts based on market developments, sales input and business changes.
• Manage inventory levels and material availability across European sales companies using SAP.
• Identify risks, bottlenecks and potential supply issues early and initiate corrective actions.
• Act as a key interface between Sales, Supply Chain, Logistics and international stakeholders.
• Build trusted relationships with Sales teams to align planning with market reality.
• Analyse, interpret and communicate planning data, KPIs and performance metrics.
• Drive continuous‑improvement initiatives within planning and supply‑chain processes.

Required profile

• Completed degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field.
• Professional experience in demand planning, supply‑chain management, forecasting or material planning, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong analytical abilities and the capacity to translate data into actionable decisions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Hands‑on, proactive, highly organised with a strong sense of ownership.
• Ability to work autonomously and adapt quickly in cross‑functional international teams.
• Fluent written and spoken English; additional European languages are a plus.
