Software Engineer – C++/Java (f/m/d)

About the role

Deutsche Börse Group is looking for a Software Engineer to join the Custody section of the Asset Servicing, Connectivity & Data department. You will work on real‑time banking applications that support post‑trade processing for Clearstream/DBAG, collaborating with financial institutions worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design technical solutions with focus on security, performance, scalability and maintainability.
• Implement features and enhancements in C++ and Java.
• Improve and extend the automated functional and security testing suite.
• Support end‑to‑end testing activities, assisting business testers and the execution team.
• Analyse production incidents and provide support to internal customers.
• Ensure compliance with internal and external standards for design, development and documentation.
• Identify improvement areas and propose process enhancements.

Required profile

• University degree in IT or related field.
• 1‑3 years of practical experience in object‑oriented programming (C++ and Java) and DevOps practices.
• Experience with relational databases, SQL, Linux scripting and version control (GitHub).
• Familiarity with messaging systems such as JMS or AMQ and XML processing.
• Strong analytical abilities and clear communication skills in English.
