Software Engineer, Backend – Core/API & Process Automation

About the role

We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and enhance the core systems that power next‑generation business process automation. You will work on distributed workflow technologies that support critical enterprise operations at global scale.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and evolve backend features within event‑sourced workflow engines and APIs.
• Contribute to technical designs and architecture decisions for distributed systems.
• Build clean, reliable APIs with a focus on scalability and backward compatibility.
• Address challenges related to event sourcing, CQRS, concurrency, ordering, and system reliability.
• Identify and optimise inefficient processing patterns and data access across storage technologies.
• Implement observability capabilities through logging, metrics, tracing, and monitoring.
• Maintain high engineering standards via code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement.
• Participate in production support and on‑call duties as experience grows.

Required profile

• Professional backend engineering experience.
