Sensor Operator

About the role

CAE Aviation is seeking a Sensor Operator to support airborne surveillance missions for government and commercial clients. The role involves operating and monitoring sensor suites on aircraft during international deployments, often on a rotational schedule away from home.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and manage airborne sensor equipment during flight missions.
• Collect, process, and transmit ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance) data to ground stations.
• Ensure mission compliance with security protocols and obtain necessary clearances.
• Collaborate with flight crew and mission planners to adapt sensor settings to mission objectives.
• Maintain equipment logs and report any technical issues.

Required profile

• Flexibility to work on rotational assignments in various international locations.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• Strong analytical and communication abilities.
• Team‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Broad experience with ISR systems.
