Senior System Defect Resolution Engineer

About the role

Our client, a leading industrial company in Luxembourg, is seeking a Senior System Defect Resolution Engineer for its PowerDrive Systems Division, which develops propulsion systems for hybrid and electric vehicles. The role focuses on analysing customer‑reported defects in power electronic inverters, determining root causes and coordinating corrective actions across multiple technical teams.

Key responsibilities

• Perform failure analysis: retrieve defective hardware, reproduce the issue and conduct root‑cause analysis.
• Lead technical coordination with hardware, software, systems engineering, test and quality teams to implement corrective actions.
• Define and execute test programmes, including bench testing, Hardware‑in‑the‑Loop (HiL), e‑Dyne and vehicle testing.
• Interact with customers to present findings, explain root causes and propose solutions.
• Track defects and actions in JIRA, monitor status and report KPIs.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in automotive engineering, power electronics and embedded systems.
• Proven expertise in root‑cause analysis, defect resolution and troubleshooting of power electronic inverters for EV and hybrid vehicles.
• Fluent English; German is a strong advantage.
