Senior Software Architect – Risk Management Applications

About the role

A European financial institution is looking for a Senior Software Architect to provide technical expertise for its Financial & Liquidity Risk domain. The role focuses on the operation, maintenance, and evolution of risk management applications, especially derivatives valuation and reporting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure stability, performance and ongoing maintenance of IT infrastructure supporting risk applications.
• Monitor system health, manage batch processes, and optimise scheduling and performance.
• Provide technical support for in‑house tools, maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) and drive continuous improvement.
• Define and implement best practices for code versioning, configuration management and DevOps pipelines.
• Lead database migration activities and support data‑virtualisation and reporting platforms.
• Design and maintain monitoring solutions and advanced dashboards for technical and business stakeholders.

Required profile

• Minimum 11 years of professional IT experience.
• At least 6 years in a Software Architect or similar specialist role.
• Proven experience (7+ years) supporting risk management applications and (3+ years) with banking or financial reporting solutions.
• Strong English proficiency (C1 level or equivalent).
