Senior Network Engineer – Cisco & Security Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Network Engineer to join the Network Security Team of our client in Esch/Alzette. The role is offered on a fixed‑term contract or freelance basis and involves designing, maintaining and securing Cisco‑based infrastructure for a range of clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design, configure and maintain Cisco network equipment (LAN, WLAN, routing).
• Support client networks built on Cisco devices and provide solutions for new business challenges.
• Manage site‑to‑site and IPsec VPNs using Cisco ASA and F5 Big‑IP APM.
• Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues and implement preventive actions.
• Lead network deployment projects, including cabling, ordering and installation.
• Handle network security incidents and maintain firewalls (Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE) and Fortinet devices.
• Deploy and maintain OT security devices based on Fortinet.
• Support VoIP telephony and IP conferencing systems.
• Participate in 24/7 on‑call rotation for emergency support.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar network engineering role.
• Strong knowledge of Cisco LAN/WLAN, routing, VPN and cabling.
• Experience with network security technologies such as Cisco ASA, Cisco ISE, Fortinet and F5.
• Familiarity with IP phone management and ITIL processes.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Autonomous, team‑oriented and curious.
