Senior Loan Accountant

About the role

Our client is looking for a Senior Loan Accountant to take ownership of the full accounting cycle for loan and financing activities linked to a property portfolio. Reporting directly to the Head of Office, the role blends detailed accounting work with operational involvement in intra‑group financing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle for the financing entity, focusing on loan accounting, shareholder loans, and property‑related financing.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records in line with Luxembourg GAAP and regulatory requirements.
• Monitor debt positions, calculate interest, track repayment schedules, and ensure covenant compliance.
• Support intra‑group financing flows, handling funding requests from operating entities (primarily Cyprus) and coordinating funding arrangements with parent entities.
• Assist in the execution and documentation of loan transactions, including drawdowns, repayments, and restructurings.
• Collaborate with auditors, tax advisors, and legal teams to deliver timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Contribute to the preparation of financial statements, management reports, and ad‑hoc analyses.
• Maintain proper documentation, reconciliation, and traceability of all financing transactions.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in loan accounting, financing structures, intercompany transactions, or real estate.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg accounting standards and regulatory environment.
• Excellent understanding of financial flows and interest mechanics.
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Hands‑on, pragmatic, solution‑oriented mindset with strong ownership.
• Ability to work independently and act as a coordination point across multiple jurisdictions.
• Detail‑oriented, well‑organized, and capable of managing complex financial data.
