Senior Fund Tax Expert

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Fund Tax Expert to lead and oversee all tax processes for our investment funds. The role ensures accurate tax reporting, compliance with legislation across multiple jurisdictions, and provides expert guidance to internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end tax processes for investment funds, guaranteeing accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor tax legislation changes, assess impact, and implement necessary updates.
• Act as primary liaison with tax authorities, auditors, clients, and legal advisors on tax matters.
• Challenge and improve tax calculation and control processes to deliver high‑quality service.
• Maintain a tax watch across jurisdictions and build a professional network.
• Manage tax‑related risks, track incidents and report to management.
• Serve as the main contact for tax inquiries, supporting both internal teams and external clients.
• Participate in client meetings and presentations as the tax subject‑matter expert.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, Engineering or equivalent.
• At least 7 years of experience in fund tax or a similar function.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong knowledge of international tax environments and fund administration.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage priorities and handle high‑stress situations.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel skills.
• SQL query proficiency.
• Experience with MFGA accounting system.
• Tax reporting and calculation for investment funds.
• Understanding of various financial instruments.
