Senior Frontend (React) Developer

About the role

We are seeking a senior individual contributor to own and evolve complex frontend architectures while also building brand‑new user interfaces for upcoming banking applications. The role combines maintenance of existing high‑performance tools with greenfield development in a structured, enterprise environment.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the maintenance, optimization and stability of the Capmark and Calms applications during their transition to the Finance Division.
• Design and implement end‑to‑end React user interfaces for two new applications, translating functional requirements into scalable components.
• Deliver high‑performance technical solutions using React functional components, Hooks, Context API and modern JavaScript (ESNext).
• Ensure code quality through rigorous peer reviews, security standards, maintainability and comprehensive documentation.
• Integrate and extend the bank’s central design system, guaranteeing visual consistency and WCAG‑compliant accessibility.
• Manage the full application lifecycle – builds, deployments and source control – within an Azure DevOps environment using Vite.

Required profile

• Significant experience in frontend engineering, preferably within a structured institutional or enterprise setting.
• Proven ability to work autonomously, prioritize shifting tasks and make senior‑level architectural decisions.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical trade‑offs to tech leads, business analysts and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent senior‑level professional experience.
