Senior Frontend Developer

About the role

Artec 3D is seeking a Senior Frontend Developer to own and evolve the web experience behind its 3D scanners and software. You will work autonomously on both brand‑new React applications and legacy Ruby on Rails/jQuery front‑ends, making key technical decisions and mentoring junior teammates.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features on a modern React 19 + TypeScript stack.
• Maintain and refactor legacy Ruby on Rails (HAML/ERB) templates, jQuery and vanilla JavaScript code.
• Drive incremental migrations from legacy code to greenfield React applications.
• Collaborate with backend, QA, product and design teams to define API contracts and deliver end‑to‑end solutions.
• Contribute to the shared Artec UI component library and ensure accessibility and visual consistency.
• Participate in code reviews, write automated tests, and uphold code quality standards.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience with autonomous work and mentorship responsibilities.
• Comfortable navigating large, mixed codebases and making safe, incremental changes.
• Strong problem‑solving mindset and ability to communicate technical decisions clearly.

Required skills

• JavaScript and TypeScript fundamentals.
• Production‑grade React (hooks, routing, server‑state management).
• Modern build tools such as Rspack, Vite or webpack.
• CSS‑in‑JS or CSS Modules, Vanilla Extract.
• Experience with Redux Toolkit, TanStack Router, TanStack Query.
• Familiarity with Ruby on Rails view templates (HAML/ERB) and jQuery.
• HTML5 and CSS3, including accessibility best practices.
• Storybook and Chromatic for component documentation and visual testing.
