Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

Sopra Steria, a leading European technology company, is looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to contribute to the design, implementation and operation of modern cloud-native platforms. The role supports application deployment, infrastructure automation, system integration and operational excellence, working within multidisciplinary teams on platform modernisation, automation and continuous improvement. The contract is either permanent (local, hybrid) or B2B (full remote).

Key responsibilities

• Deploy, configure and maintain applications in containerised environments.
• Design, implement and support CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Infrastructure as Code principles.
• Configure and manage system integrations, APIs and workflow automation solutions.
• Monitor platform performance, availability and security with observability tools.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, application and integration issues in complex environments.
• Collaborate with development, infrastructure and security teams, support incident resolution and root cause analysis.
• Share knowledge and give technical guidance to team members.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience of more than 7 years as a DevOps, Platform or Cloud Engineer.
• Fluent English; additional languages are an asset.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in international environments.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Kubernetes, OpenShift, Docker and container technologies.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible and Infrastructure as Code.
• CI/CD, GitOps and automation practices.
• Linux administration and cloud-native environments.
• Monitoring, logging and observability solutions.
