IT Resilience & Development Internship

About the role

Sopra Steria, a major European technology company, offers a full-time IT Resilience & Development internship in Leudelange (Luxembourg). The intern contributes to the governance of IT resilience and to the development of an internal tool used by the BCDR team. The internship takes place at the company's premises in Leudelange and/or at a client site.

Key responsibilities

• Disaster recovery: help define and plan DR exercises, run them, write DRE reports and monitor action plans, and ensure DR strategies comply with standards such as ISO 22301, NIST and GDPR.
• Business impact analysis: run BIA workshops, improve the templates, verify the content and enter it into the internal database.
• Internal application development: take over the DART tool, which is already in active deployment, continue feature development, extend the data model and build new views and metrics.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams on operational topics and on infrastructure resilience and deployment automation.

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field.
• Fluent English and French (written and spoken); other European languages are a plus.
• Strong communication skills, proactive and self-organised, comfortable working across teams.

Required skills

• BCDR, DR and crisis management concepts, and BIA methodology.
• Python development; familiarity with graph databases such as Neo4j is a plus.
• Basic DevOps knowledge: CI/CD pipelines, Docker/containers, cloud storage.
• Nice to have: Streamlit, GitLab CI/CD, OIDC authentication flows, backup and recovery concepts.
