Senior Data Engineer Consultant

About the role

Sia, a global management consulting group founded in 1999, is recruiting Senior Consultants specializing in Data Engineering solutions. You will lead client engagements, co-design data engineering solutions with clients, manage stakeholders and ensure project delivery from strategy through execution. Within Sia you will also develop its Data Engineering offerings, represent the firm at professional events and drive business development.

Key responsibilities

• Design scalable data pipelines and architectures for ingesting, processing and delivering structured and unstructured data
• Build data solutions on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and distributed frameworks (Spark, Kafka)
• Develop logical and physical data models and optimize relational, NoSQL, time-series and graph databases
• Implement batch, streaming and real-time data integration patterns
• Enable CI/CD and DataOps practices with DevOps tooling
• Develop Sia's Data Engineering offerings through training, working groups and publications, and contribute articles, white papers and webinars
• Craft proposals, identify collaboration opportunities and build long-term client relationships
• Act as trusted advisor to middle and senior management, and supervise and mentor junior to mid-level consultants

Required profile

• WO Master's degree in Data Science, Econometrics, Applied Mathematics, Computer Science, (Energy) Engineering or a related technical field with substantial programming
• 3-6 years of relevant professional experience (or equivalent academic research)
• Analytical, proactive thinker with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to mentor colleagues and adapt quickly to new data and AI topics
• Fluency in English; French fluency is a must
• Interest in Data Engineering, Energy and Finance
