Senior Cloud Engineer

About the role

ArcelorMittal Global Solutions AI Team is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, build, and operate cloud platforms that host AI, data, and enterprise applications. The role starts with hands‑on implementation on Microsoft Azure and will evolve to include leadership and mentorship as the team expands.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement Azure cloud architectures for AI, data, and software solutions.
• Build and operate production‑grade cloud environments, ensuring security, scalability, reliability and cost efficiency.
• Develop infrastructure as code and CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments.
• Support deployment and operation of applications, data pipelines, and AI systems.
• Establish and maintain DevOps practices, tooling and standards for developers and data scientists.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment and runtime issues and contribute to monitoring and incident management.
• Mentor and guide other cloud engineers, review implementations and enforce architecture standards.
• Collaborate with software developers, data scientists and AI engineers to align cloud designs with application requirements.

Required profile

• Strong experience designing and operating cloud solutions, primarily on Microsoft Azure.
• Proven ability to support production workloads in cloud environments.
• Experience with cost management and cloud optimization principles.
• Technical leadership skills to mentor engineers and enforce standards.

Required skills

• Microsoft Azure (compute, storage, networking, identity, security).
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) – basic knowledge for future expansion.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• CI/CD pipeline creation and automation.
• DevOps practices and tooling.
• Cloud cost management and optimization.
