Senior Assembly Integration & Testing Engineer

About the role

The Senior Assembly Integration and Testing (AIT) Engineer will lead the assembly, integration and testing of spaceflight experimental platforms and related hardware at Exobiosphere. This full‑time on‑site position in Luxembourg focuses on building precision robotics, environmental control and optical monitoring systems into flight‑ready payloads for microgravity research.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute comprehensive test plans for complex hardware assemblies.
• Coordinate testing procedures across mechanical, electrical, software and biological subsystems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and subsystem issues during integration.
• Ensure all designs comply with aerospace standards, quality‑assurance protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to meet performance specifications and reliability targets for microgravity environments.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Assembly, Integration and Testing of complex hardware systems.
• Strong background in systems engineering and mechanical design.
• Familiarity with aerospace standards, quality assurance and compliance processes.
• Hands‑on problem‑solving approach.
• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Experience with space projects or biotechnology is a strong advantage.
