Senior Administrator Desk Side Services

About the role

HCLTech is seeking a Senior Administrator for Desk Side Services to provide first‑line IT support across the organization. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and documenting technical issues on desktops, printers, PDAs and network cabling while ensuring service targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Test, identify, repair and document end‑user technical issues on desktops, printers, PDAs and LAN cable drops.
• Provide 1st line IT support and infrastructure administration, including on‑site shift coverage and out‑of‑hours on‑call support.
• Troubleshoot software problems, reimage computers, back up and restore settings.
• Manage tickets in ServiceNow, prioritize requests and track status.
• Perform asset inventory, move equipment for escalated incidents, and coordinate hardware/software purchases with procurement.
• Train and orient staff on hardware and software usage, and recommend upgrades for workstations and printers.

Required profile

• High‑level analytical ability to support networked computers and peripherals.
• Experience interfacing with end users, management, VIPs and technical staff.
• Flexibility to work in a project‑based environment and collaborate within teams.
• Willingness to take ownership of issues through to resolution.
