SecOps Engineer – First Line Security Operations

About the role

We are looking for a motivated SecOps Engineer to join Luxtrust’s security team in Capellen, Luxembourg. As the first line of defence, you will handle security alerts, support incident response and work closely with development, operations and DevOps teams to embed security throughout the product lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and triage alerts from security tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS and EDR, escalating to the second‑line team when needed.
• Participate in incident response activities, including evidence collection, analysis and reporting.
• Collaborate with Product, Ops and DevOps to integrate security best practices (DevSecOps) into development and deployment pipelines.
• Identify, assess and track vulnerabilities across applications, infrastructure and third‑party components, ensuring timely remediation.
• Conduct regular security reviews, audits and threat‑intelligence research to continuously improve the security posture.

Required profile

• Strong interest in cybersecurity and a proactive attitude towards security operations.
• Ability to work independently as the first point of contact for security incidents.
• Good communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and convey security recommendations.

Required skills

• Experience with SIEM platforms.
• Knowledge of IDS/IPS and Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) tools.
• Understanding of vulnerability management processes.
• Familiarity with incident response procedures.
