R&D Specialist in Educational Science

About the role

We are looking for an R&D Specialist in Educational Science to join the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences at the University of Luxembourg. The successful candidate will work within the interdisciplinary ProMulti team, supporting research on multilingual children’s language practices in home, educational and healthcare settings.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate actively with the ProMulti interdisciplinary team.
• Conduct qualitative data collection, including observations and interviews with children, parents, and professionals.
• Assist in transcription, organization, and analysis of qualitative data.
• Support day‑to‑day project management and coordination of research activities.
• Contribute to the preparation of research articles and dissemination of findings.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in educational sciences, linguistics, psychology or a related field.
• Understanding of language learning and experience with qualitative research methods.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary research environment.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Interest in multilingualism development.
