Quantum Cybersecurity Engineer

About the role

As a Quantum Cybersecurity Engineer you will develop cutting‑edge software solutions that bridge Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and Post‑Quantum Cryptography (PQC). You will work in a fast‑moving team, turning research concepts into practical security tools and helping shape the future of quantum‑enabled protection.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and test software for quantum technologies.
• Identify and resolve interoperability issues between QKD and PQC systems.
• Collaborate with hardware and software teams to prototype quantum cryptography innovations.
• Document technical designs, experiments and project deliverables.
• Stay current with advances in quantum communications and propose new ideas.

Required profile

• Fluent written and spoken English (Luxembourgish a plus).
• Degree in Physics, Photonics, Computer Science, IT/Electrical/Telecom Engineering or Software Engineering.
• Fresh PhD graduates or post‑doctoral researchers are strongly encouraged.
• Strong analytical mindset, curiosity for quantum networks and ability to work both independently and in a team.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with quantum systems or protocols.
• Knowledge of Quantum Key Distribution (QKD).
• Understanding of Post‑Quantum Cryptography (PQC).
