Prototype Build Operation Technician

About the role

BorgWarner PowerDrive Systems is seeking a dynamic Prototype Build Operation Technician for its Luxembourg Technical Center in Hautcharage. The role focuses on assembling and testing prototype components in line with engineering requests, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Receive work requests, BOMs and assembly drawings and retrieve components while respecting traceability rules.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers or Tool Designers to create required tooling.
• Assemble and test components according to the Process Control Plan (PCP) and work instructions.
• Complete PCP reports and record any deviations during the build process.
• Participate actively in resolving assembly difficulties with product, process and quality engineering teams.
• Attend debriefings of work orders with engineering stakeholders.

Required profile

• Mechanical Bachelor or related field (Bachelor of Science in Mechanical/Automation Engineering preferred).
• 2‑5 years of experience as a technician, preferably in automotive power‑electronics.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and flexible working hours to meet prototype delivery schedules.
• Fluent in English; French is a plus.
• Good oral and written communication skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
