Project Manager – R&D programmes

About the role

LUXUAV is expanding its R&D activities and needs an experienced Project Manager to own end‑to‑end delivery of hardware‑driven programmes, from early development through industrial readiness. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality and compliance teams.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and monitor multiple concurrent R&D projects, ensuring realistic scope, timelines, resources, cost and risk management.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, software, manufacturing, test and quality activities across the project lifecycle.
• Lead technical reviews, drive decision‑making, resolve trade‑offs and mitigate delivery risks.
• Maintain engineering documentation, configuration control and traceability to support certification and customer acceptance.
• Oversee the transition from development to production, ensuring BOMs, work instructions and quality criteria are complete.

Required profile

• Engineering degree (aerospace, mechanical, electrical or related).
• 5+ years managing hardware‑driven or systems‑level projects in aerospace, robotics, defence or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of engineering development, testing and industrialisation.
• Proven ability to work closely with engineering and manufacturing teams and hold delivery accountability.
• Fluent in English and a national of a NATO member country or approved NATO Indo‑Pacific partner.
