Production Planning Analyst – Supply Chain

About the role

Amazon’s Production Planning Team optimizes capacity across Fulfillment Centers using innovative planning solutions. As a Production Planning Analyst you will develop network‑wide strategies, drive operational excellence, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support cost‑effective staffing and capacity decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute short, medium, and long‑term operational plans to optimize staffing costs.
• Forecast warehouse staffing and capacity metrics using statistical modeling to enable data‑driven decisions.
• Maintain and analyze capacity planning data, identify trends, root causes, and improvement opportunities.
• Present insights and recommendations to stakeholders across Europe.
• Support production planning and cost‑optimization initiatives in partnership with operations, HR, finance, transportation, and workforce staffing teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or MBA in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or a related field.
• Proven experience working across cross‑functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
• Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail and effective communication skills.
• Experience defining program requirements and using data‑driven metrics for continuous improvement.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (complex formulas, pivot tables, data manipulation).
• Statistical modeling for capacity forecasting.
• Six Sigma methodology.
• Lean manufacturing principles.
