Product Assurance & Quality Assurance Engineer

About the role

OQ Technology is seeking a Product Assurance & Quality Assurance Engineer to join its engineering team in Luxembourg. You will support the development of satellite payloads, spacecraft platforms, ground segments, user terminals, firmware and software, ensuring compliance with ECSS standards and ISO 9001.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and tailor product assurance plans for each project, based on mission class, risk and schedule.
• Flow down PA/QA requirements to suppliers, conduct supplier assessments, source inspections and surveillance of subcontracted hardware, firmware and software.
• Manage the non‑conformance process, including raising, dispositioning, closing NCRs, waivers and deviations, and chair review boards.
• Oversee alert and anomaly reporting, evaluating ESA alerts and supplier notifications against OQ baselines.
• Maintain the quality management system, ISO 9001 certification, conduct internal audits and track corrective and preventive actions.
• Define and witness inspection points during assembly, integration and test, verify test readiness and accept test results.
• Compile end‑item data packages, as‑built records, acceptance packages and certificates of conformity.
• Perform or coordinate dependability and safety analyses such as FMECA, worst‑case analysis and reliability prediction.
• Manage EEE component assurance, including part selection, procurement control, screening, derating, lot traceability and radiation/lifetime justification.

Required profile

• Experience applying ECSS‑based assurance practices to satellite projects.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and internal audit processes.
• Proven ability to manage non‑conformance, waiver and deviation procedures.
• Familiarity with supplier assessment, source inspection and hardware/firmware surveillance.
• Capability to conduct dependability and safety analyses (FMECA, reliability prediction).
