Process Engineer

About the role

OCSiAl is seeking a Process Engineer to join its in‑house engineering team. The role will support the design, specification, commissioning and continuous improvement of industrial process plants for carbon‑nanotube production.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain block flow diagrams, process flow diagrams (PFD) and piping & instrumentation diagrams (P&ID).
• Prepare technical input data for external design firms and review their documentation for completeness and accuracy.
• Support material and energy balance calculations, define process parameters and utility requirements.
• Draft and update equipment specifications, datasheets and process requirements; evaluate supplier proposals and assist in equipment selection.
• Coordinate technical topics with mechanical, piping, instrumentation, electrical, automation, construction, maintenance and operations teams.
• Participate in interdisciplinary design reviews, resolve technical conflicts and escalate major risks to the Lead Process Engineer.
• Assist with commissioning, start‑up activities and ongoing plant performance optimisation.

Required profile

• Degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Process Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in industrial process design and equipment specification.
• Strong analytical skills for material and energy balance work.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally and communicate technical information clearly.
