Process Engineer – Blast Furnace (m/f/d)

About the role

We are seeking a Process Engineer (m/f/d) to join our blast furnace process department in Luxembourg. You will support internal and external customers throughout the project lifecycle, from initial discussions and process calculations to commissioning and operation optimisation.

Key responsibilities

• Model and dimension blast furnace processes and equipment.
• Develop new technologies and process solutions, including direct reduction and energy‑saving concepts.
• Support project teams on technological and process aspects.
• Assist customers in optimising operation parameters and applying key equipment.
• Lead cold and hot commissioning activities and supervise special operations such as blow‑in, blow‑down and recoveries.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on automation and integration of new technologies.

Required profile

• Master’s or higher degree in Metallurgy or a related technical field.
• Professional experience in blast furnace operation and commissioning.
• Fluent English with strong communication skills for customer and project interaction.
• Willingness to travel internationally and work independently.
