Operations Analyst Internship

About the role

Helical is looking for an Operations Analyst Intern to help build an AI‑first operations machine as the company scales rapidly. You will work with cutting‑edge AI and automation tools, report directly to the Chief of Staff, and have the option to transition to a full‑time role.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement AI workflows using Claude agents and reusable Skills.
• Develop the automation backbone with Make.com (and similar platforms) to eliminate manual tasks.
• Collaborate with the fractional CFO to strengthen the finance infrastructure.
• Identify and fix broken operating processes before they impact the team.
• Own the end‑to‑end new‑joiner experience, ensuring immediate inclusion.
• Manage the SaaS stack, negotiate with vendors, and retire underperforming tools.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Bachelor’s or Master’s program (engineering, finance, biology, or entrepreneurship preferred).
• Daily user of AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor, and at least one automation platform (Make.com, Zapier, n8n).
• Power‑user of Notion and Google Drive.
• Based in London with the right to work in the UK.
• Strong organisational discipline, clear written communication, and comfort with ambiguous, end‑to‑end work.
• Passion for AI’s impact on biology and drug discovery.
