Network & Security Engineer

About the role

Cebi International is seeking a Network & Security Engineer to maintain and optimise the company’s network and security infrastructure. The role also includes coordinating IT security measures, working closely with internal teams and an external Security Operations Centre, and acting as the primary liaison with the Information Security Department.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and troubleshoot network and security infrastructure (incident management).
• Investigate root causes of major incidents (problem management).
• Configure, deploy and maintain network components and WAN connections.
• Liaise with telecom providers and external IT suppliers.
• Record, pilot and implement changes to ensure service continuity.
• Maintain documentation and operational manuals.
• Develop and enforce IT security procedures in line with standards.
• Design, implement and manage firewalls, web protection, email gateway and antivirus solutions.
• Handle security incidents, assess impact and lead remediation.
• Stay updated on emerging threats and security technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT infrastructure and security.
• Professional certifications such as CISSP (asset) and ITIL Foundation.
• Strong knowledge of NIST and ISO 27001 security frameworks.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, both independently and within a team.
• Experience managing supplier relationships.
• Fluent English.
