Media Architect

About the role

We are looking for a Media Architect to design and maintain scalable, robust media architectures for Broadcasting Center Europe’s products and Media-as-a-Service (MaaS) offerings. The role bridges product vision with technical implementation, ensuring end-to-end media workflows run efficiently across cloud and on-premise environments.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain consistent media architectures across BCE products and MaaS platforms.
• Design end-to-end workflows covering ingest, processing, orchestration, transcoding, packaging, distribution, monitoring and delivery.
• Translate product requirements into actionable technical designs aligned with MaaS principles.
• Architect cloud-native and hybrid solutions on public, private or sovereign clouds.
• Integrate key media components such as encoders, transcoders, origin platforms, DRM, analytics, players and distribution layers.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, cloud infrastructure, network and operations teams throughout design, implementation and validation.
• Contribute reusable, modular and automated building blocks for BCE’s MaaS platforms.
• Evaluate media technologies, vendors and conduct PoCs and technical validations.
• Define best practices, reference architectures and technical guidelines for media integration.
• Support complex troubleshooting and promote knowledge sharing across teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Media Architect, Media Solution Architect or similar in broadcast, OTT or media services.
• Strong understanding of live and file-based media workflows, OTT and broadcast delivery, transcoding, packaging and streaming protocols.
• Hands-on experience with cloud-native media architectures on public or hybrid clouds (AWS, GCP or equivalent).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Solid knowledge of API-driven architectures and workflow orchestration.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional, international teams.
