About the role
Ferrero Group is seeking a senior leader to define and drive its global media relations strategy. The Head of Global Media Relations will be the primary accountable for earned media engagement, executive visibility and reputation management across all markets.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and continuously evolve a worldwide media relations strategy aligned with corporate reputation priorities and business objectives.
- Lead the Group Press Office, overseeing proactive and reactive media engagement, international media handling and executive counselling on high‑stakes issues.
- Design and execute media plans that include interviews, briefings, editorial opportunities and crisis response, ensuring consistent messaging.
- Provide senior executives with media training, interview preparation and high‑quality communication materials such as press statements and briefing notes.
- Utilise media monitoring, analytics and external insights to spot emerging trends, reputational risks and opportunities, adapting approaches to digital and AI‑driven platforms.
- Build and develop a high‑performing global media relations team and foster collaboration with Corporate Communications, Legal, Public Affairs, Sustainability, brands and regional markets.
Required profile
- Approximately 15 years of experience in media relations, corporate communications, public affairs, journalism or communications consulting within a global matrix organization.
- Proven ability to lead and develop high‑performing teams and influence senior stakeholders.
- Strong editorial judgment and excellent writing skills for creating clear, consistent communication materials.
- Strategic thinking combined with the capacity to analyse media data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
