Mechanical Designer - Molds (Product Development)

About the role

We are looking for a Mechanical Designer specialized in molds to join our Beverage Packaging Tooling development team at Husky Technologies. After an initial training period at our European headquarters in Dudelange, you will contribute to product development by delivering high‑quality, reliable and cost‑effective designs.

Key responsibilities

• Iterate and select design concepts based on project scope.
• Execute detailed designs following company standards.
• Perform system‑level design with limited guidance.
• Create design documentation and validation plans.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams worldwide, including engineering, manufacturing, testing and validation.
• Develop and manage complex project plans, set milestones and communicate status.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design for molds or related fields.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex technical problems.
• Good project and time‑management capabilities.
• Fluent English communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) and tolerance stack‑up analysis.
• Experience with virtual simulation tools (preferred).
• Ability to calculate design parameters.
