Mechanical Design Engineer – Process Equipment

About the role

OCSiAl is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong CAD expertise to join its in‑house equipment development team. You will translate process requirements into practical mechanical solutions for gas‑processing equipment, taking ownership of components from concept through detailed design.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare equipment requirements and design briefs for processing equipment.
• Develop concept proposals, detailed 3D models, fabrication drawings, bills of materials and design specifications under senior guidance.
• Select appropriate materials, fittings and welding methods while ensuring compliance with European and international standards.
• Create and maintain 2D/3D designs using SolidWorks, Inventor or Siemens NX.
• Produce technical documentation, fabrication drawings, specifications and reports for manufacturing and supplier inquiries.
• Collaborate with process, electrical and automation engineers and provide technical support during project execution and commissioning.
• Review vendor drawings and support equipment and component selection during procurement.

Required profile

• Junior to mid‑level mechanical engineer with solid design fundamentals.
• Hands‑on industrial mindset and ability to work under guidance of senior engineers.
• Familiarity with European welding standards and quality control procedures.

Required skills

• CAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Inventor, Siemens NX).
• 3D modelling and detailing.
• Knowledge of welded joints, flange connections and pipe‑fitting techniques.
• Ability to produce technical documentation and bills of materials.
