Junior Software Developer

About the role

Terra Matters is looking for a passionate Junior Software Developer to join its growing engineering team. You will work on building, optimizing, and maintaining the core platform that supports the Product Circularity Data Sheet initiative, contributing to a mission-driven, sustainability‑focused startup.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, test, and optimize full‑stack features using PHP (Laravel), PostgreSQL, and Vue/Nuxt.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following team standards.
• Design and manage database schemas, migrations, and complex queries in PostgreSQL.
• Assist in implementing event‑driven architectures and handling asynchronous tasks via message queues.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint planning, and Agile ceremonies.
• Collaborate with teammates to troubleshoot, debug, and resolve platform issues.

Required profile

• 0–2 years of professional software development experience (internships or strong personal projects count).
• Solid foundation in backend development with PHP and the Laravel framework.
• Hands‑on experience with PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in modern frontend development using Vue.js or Nuxt.js.
• English language proficiency at C1 level.
