Junior Fund Accountant

About the role

This entry‑level position supports the Fund Accounting team in Luxembourg, handling accounting and financial reporting for private‑equity and real‑estate funds and related structures. You will work closely with fund managers, auditors and other external advisors to ensure accurate bookkeeping and timely delivery of reports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform accounting and bookkeeping for funds and SPVs, including posting invoices, interest and accruals.
• Execute monthly bank reconciliations and maintain supporting documentation.
• Respond to client queries and join client calls as needed.
• Assist senior accountants in preparing financial statements under Lux GAAP and IFRS.
• Support consolidation work‑papers and intercompany eliminations.
• Handle regulatory reporting deliverables such as BCL and CSSF filings.
• Prepare VAT and corporate income tax (CIT) returns.
• Coordinate year‑end audit activities.
• Process bank payments across various banking platforms, ensuring KYC documents are attached.
• Calculate equalisation, drawdown and distribution amounts, referencing the LPA/Fund documents.
• Assist in the calculation of management fees.

Required profile

• Graduate in Finance, Economics or Accounting.
• Pro‑active, motivated and eager to learn in a fast‑paced environment.
• Flexible team player with a positive problem‑solving attitude.
• Fluent in English; French or German is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills; able to work under tight deadlines.
• Basic understanding of Lux GAAP and IFRS (training will be provided).
