Java Specialist – Senior Java Developer (Freelance)

About the role
We are seeking a Senior Java Specialist to join a six‑month B2B freelance project in Luxembourg. The consultant will design, develop and maintain Java applications, working closely with cross‑functional teams in a multilingual environment.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, test and maintain Java‑based applications.
- Analyse business requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Develop and consume REST APIs and integrate with external systems.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging and performance tuning.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects and development teams.
- Prepare and maintain technical documentation.
Required profile
- 6–7 years of hands‑on Java development experience.
- Fluent French (mandatory) and good English communication skills.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
Required skills
- Java, J2EE
- Spring Framework and Spring Boot
- RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture
- SQL databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Git version control
