IT Application Support Officer

About the role

Join our IT Application Support team to provide first‑line assistance for internal users across a hybrid Windows/Linux environment. You will handle incidents, service requests, and contribute to firm‑wide IT projects while continuously improving processes.

Key responsibilities

• Centralise, analyse and document technical issues; maintain procedures and documentation.
• Provide daily assistance on transversal applications, handling incidents and service requests for on‑premises and cloud‑based solutions.
• Diagnose and resolve application incidents through log analysis, service restarts and configuration adjustments.
• Prioritise, escalate and coordinate incidents with other IT teams in line with SLA guidelines.
• Participate in projects that implement new solutions for the firm.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in an operational IT team (support/production/operations).
• Hands‑on experience in application support, troubleshooting logs, services and configurations.
• Experience with both Windows and Linux environments and a good understanding of ITIL processes.
• Fluent in English and French (spoken and written).

Required skills

• Windows Server administration (IIS 10, services, scheduled tasks, event monitoring).
• Linux/RHEL fundamentals (navigation, system services, logs, permissions).
• Basic SQL querying and troubleshooting.
• Scripting with PowerShell and/or Bash.
• Containerisation tools such as Docker or Podman (nice to have).
• Awareness of CI/CD practices and tools, preferably Azure DevOps (nice to have).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Azure Cloud and AI‑related technologies (nice to have).
• NGINX configuration and troubleshooting basics (nice to have).
