Investment Strategist – Local SPOC

About the role

The Investment Strategist is part of the Global Investment Center within ISIM, ING's Super ManCo, which manages UCITS and AIFs and acts as the Group's central platform for investment fund solutions. The role builds and articulates ING's investment vision from a macro and multi-asset perspective, aligning global strategy with the Luxembourg platform. As the local SPOC, the strategist works closely with Private Bankers and commercial teams and relays investment insights consistently.

Key responsibilities

• Drive macro and tactical asset allocation: conduct macroeconomic and market research, build scenarios and produce investment materials, and monitor markets for trends, risks and opportunities.
• Translate macro perspectives into portfolio positioning guidelines and support the performance of centrally managed portfolios.
• Collaborate with the CIO and investment strategists in Brussels and Amsterdam to align local and global strategies.
• Act as the local point of contact for the investment vision, providing regular market updates and insights to Private Bankers and commercial teams.
• Prepare and deliver presentations on market developments and investment themes, represent ING's views at client events and group presentations, and support selected media interactions.
• Ensure alignment with the Global Investment Center's strategy and messaging, and contribute to strategic projects, including change projects.

Required profile

• Master's degree in Finance, Economics or a related field; CFA charter holder considered an asset.
• At least 10 years of experience in financial markets as Portfolio Manager or Investment Strategist, with a proven track record in macro analysis and multi-asset allocation.
• Excellent command of English and French; speaking Dutch or another European language is an asset.
• Proven collaboration skills in a global environment, including potential regular travel.
