Investment Funds Lawyer

About the role

Linklaters LLP, an international law firm advising leading companies, financial institutions and governments, is expanding its Investment Funds Practice and is looking for an Investment Funds Lawyer. The role sits within a strong, experienced team in Luxembourg.

Key responsibilities

• Take instructions from clients
• Draft creatively, clearly and accurately, using precedents where appropriate
• Carry out research, due diligence and information management
• Communicate and negotiate on behalf of the client, leading where appropriate
• Build rapport and credibility with clients and continuously improve the level of service
• Keep up to date with developments in clients' industries and their implications

Required profile

• European-qualified lawyer with 2 to 4 years of experience in investment funds law
• Outstanding academic qualifications
• Fluent written and spoken English and French; German and/or Luxembourgish is an asset
• Innovative, practical, proactive, commercially minded and a team player

Required skills

• Excellent technical and writing skills, including drafting and legal analysis
• Ability to follow and synthesise legal and regulatory developments
• Organisational and project management skills, with effective time management and prioritisation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work in a cross-border team
• Problem-solving skills and ability to apply law and regulation to real-life scenarios
• Ability to leverage IT tools and new technologies
