Capital Markets and Banking Associate

About the role

Linklaters' Capital Markets and Banking group handles complex banking transactions, capital markets and structured finance deals, as well as national and multi-jurisdiction regulatory issues. The firm is looking for an Associate to join its team and deliver legal services on financial law.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive range of legal services on all aspects of financial law.
• Assist clients on complex advisory mandates and finance transactions involving many participants and jurisdictions.
• Draft and negotiate finance documentation, keeping up with current trends, precedents and market standards.
• Provide sound commercial and legal advice to clients.
• Contribute know-how and experience to the team.
• Liaise with leading institutions and colleagues across other jurisdictions.

Required profile

• European-qualified lawyer with 2 to 4 years of experience and outstanding academic qualifications.
• Experience and interest in non-contentious regulatory matters, capital markets, banking and/or other finance-related law.
• Experience of client and business relationships.

Required skills

• Fluent written and spoken English and French; German is an asset.
• Exceptional networking, organisational and assertive communication skills.
• Innovative, practical, proactive and commercially minded.
