Infrastructure & Data Centre Technical Services Engineer (L2)

About the role

The Data Centre Technical Services Systems Integration Engineer (L2) at NTT DATA is a seasoned subject‑matter expert who provides on‑site and remote technical support for medium to complex data‑centre environments. You will be responsible for installation, integration, deployment, configuration and fault management while guiding junior team members.

Key responsibilities

• Interact with clients on‑site and remotely to meet complex solution requirements.
• Escalate unresolved problems to third‑party vendors and manage client escalations.
• Prepare reports, proposals and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Document standard operating procedures for installations and fixes.
• Coach and mentor junior Implementation Engineers and Technicians.
• Coordinate activities of junior engineers to meet performance targets.
• Participate in higher‑complexity design work and own relevant technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computing or a related field.
• Strong learning orientation and client‑service mindset.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Hands‑on, proactive approach with solid project and administration understanding.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HPE, Dell, VMware, Veeam, CompTIA A+ technologies.
• Experience with Cisco UCS servers, Cisco MDS SAN switches, Brocade SAN switches.
• Knowledge of Nutanix concepts and Azure Fundamentals.
• Ability to create Visio diagrams, low‑level designs (LLD) and As‑Built documentation.
• Relevant certifications such as HPE ProLiant, Dell PowerEdge, VMware VCP‑DCV, Veeam Backup, Cisco UCS, etc.
