Hardware RF Engineer

About the role

EmTroniX, a leader in space‑grade electronics and embedded software, is looking for a Hardware RF Engineer to join its RF, electronics and antenna subsystems team. The role focuses on designing, implementing and validating high‑frequency RF and microwave components for satellite payloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and validate RF/Microwave passive and active functions such as filters, power dividers/couplers, power amplifiers, LNAs, high‑purity clock generators, transceiver chains and up/down‑converter chains.
• Perform high‑frequency system analysis and simulation, optimizing designs for manufacturability, assembly and testing.
• Lead prototype manufacturing, assembly and develop test methodologies and verification plans for analogue functional blocks.
• Conduct laboratory and specialised test‑facility measurements, analyse results, debug circuits and implement design corrections for batch production.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of experience in hybrid power‑amplifier design and RF chain development.
• Fluent English; French or German are strong assets.
• Proven ability to work on complex space‑RF projects and collaborate in an international, multidisciplinary team.

Required skills

• RF/Microwave circuit design and simulation (CAD schematic tools, circuit simulators).
• Hybrid RF power‑amplifier, RF transceiver chain and PLL design.
• Software Defined Radio and Digital Signal Processing knowledge.
• Antenna design and Python scripting.
• High‑quality clock signal generation, phase‑noise management and complex PLL design.
• Measurement equipment: spectrum analyzer, signal generator, vector network analyzer.
• Understanding of up‑converter and down‑converter super‑heterodyne topologies.
