General Manager – GATS Joint Venture

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic leader to head the GATS Joint Venture between Cargolux Airlines and Atlas Air. Based at the Cargolux Maintenance Center in Luxembourg, the General Manager will drive strategy, operational performance and governance for a global aviation pool of components.

Key responsibilities

• Lead GATS pool operations covering supply chain, logistics, repair management and partner support, ensuring service levels and AOG response.
• Act as the main interface to the JV Board of Directors and develop the operations and finance teams.
• Develop and execute business plans, negotiate pooling agreements and identify growth opportunities.
• Optimize asset management, pool sizing and inventory strategy while managing repair vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with JV agreements, EASA and FAA regulations and mitigate technical, financial and contractual risks.
• Oversee P&L, budgeting and overall financial performance.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, sourcing or vendor management; aviation, pooling or MRO experience is a strong plus.
• Proven managerial experience with people‑management responsibilities.
• Experience in high‑value contract negotiations and procurement best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and leadership abilities, fluent in English.
