Fund Finance Manager – AIFM

About the role

Reporting directly to senior management, you will own the fund controlling function, leading a finance team while being hands‑on with technical and operational matters. This role combines strong technical expertise with the ability to coach and develop a high‑performing team in a fast‑paced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate production of financial reports, including fund accounting closes, financial statements, investor reports, cash‑flow notices and ad‑hoc requests for SIF, RAIF and unregulated structures.
• Coach, develop and review the work of a six‑person finance team and implement finance, valuation and investment monitoring policies.
• Oversee and report on underlying investments, manage capital calls and distributions, and act as the primary link between finance, senior directors and investors.
• Lead new system and process developments, provide full finance support to the management company, and manage the fund and AIFM audit process.

Required profile

• At least 5 years of experience in fund accounting/fund controlling within alternative investments, preferably private equity.
• Professional experience gained in Luxembourg and solid understanding of Luxembourg regulatory framework (Lux GAAP, CSSF circulars).
• Proven team‑management experience with strong coaching and feedback skills.
• Excellent organizational skills, strong written and verbal English communication, and ability to meet deadlines.
