Full Stack Software Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to join the SnT team at the University of Luxembourg. You will work on Wingos, an AI‑powered educational technology platform, turning research ideas into production‑grade code for multilingual classrooms.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship features across the full stack – from UI to API to database.
• Build intuitive, accessible interfaces for teachers and students.
• Integrate LLM‑based services where they add value.
• Own performance, reliability and security as the platform scales.
• Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines, deployment, monitoring and related infrastructure.
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from scoping to release.
• Contribute to technical documentation, grant proposals and publications.
• Collaborate directly with pilot schools and partners to gather feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of French, German or Luxembourgish is a plus.

Required skills

• JavaScript / TypeScript.
• Modern frontend framework such as React or Next.js.
• Server‑side development with Node.js and/or Python (FastAPI).
• Database experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Version control with Git and containerisation with Docker.
• CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
