Finance Director – Private Markets (Luxembourg)

About the role

The Finance Director will lead the financial and operational management of Luxembourg‑based investment structures supporting European private market activities. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines transaction oversight, stakeholder coordination and strategic finance development across a broad portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Own finance matters for Luxembourg and European investment structures, partnering on acquisitions, disposals and restructurings.
• Coordinate cash management, fund flows and transaction execution with international finance, tax, treasury and legal teams.
• Manage external service providers for accounting, reporting and tax compliance, and oversee audit processes.
• Prepare management reporting, periodic financial information and annual statutory accounts.
• Work with tax specialists on direct tax, VAT, transfer pricing and statutory filings.
• Lead and develop the Luxembourg finance team and act as director for relevant entities.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA or CAIA is highly desirable.
• Minimum 12 years of experience in asset management, alternative investments or complex financial services.
• Proven experience leading and developing finance teams.
• Strong knowledge of Luxembourg asset‑management structures, corporate governance and director responsibilities.

Required skills

• Expertise in Lux GAAP and IFRS financial reporting standards.
• Advanced cash and fund‑flow management, transaction structuring and execution.
• In‑depth tax compliance knowledge for Luxembourg alternative investment structures.
• Understanding of Luxembourg corporate governance and regulatory requirements.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
