Finance Controller Trainee Internship

About the role

ING Solutions Investment Management (ISIM), a subsidiary of ING Belgium and ING Luxembourg, is looking for a Finance Controller Trainee to join its Luxembourg finance team starting in January 2027 for a 6-month internship. ISIM manages investment funds distributed across several ING Group entities and has over 40 employees. Only students who can provide a valid internship agreement (school convention) will be considered.

Key responsibilities

• Review funds' invoices from Central Administration and Custodian Banks
• Review fund expenses and calculate ongoing charges
• Coordinate invoice processing for ISIM and the funds under management
• Monitor the invoicing mailbox day to day
• Reconcile payments between accounting records and bank statements
• Take part in periodic meetings with delegates
• Review draft yearly financial statements, quarterly regulatory reporting and other fund reports
• Prepare the Board meeting slide decks for ISIM and the funds
• Support other operational tasks as needed

Required profile

• Studies in Economics or Finance
• Fluent French and English; other languages are an asset
• Flexible, eager to learn and a team player

Required skills

• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
