Facilities Engineer

About the role

The Facilities Engineer will ensure the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the Luxembourg Tire Plant’s buildings and infrastructure (excluding power generation). This role supports business continuity, sustainability, and continuous improvement through digitalization and proactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and performance of plant buildings and facilities.
• Coordinate powered transportation equipment, lifting tools and cranes, ensuring legal inspections and corrective actions.
• Lead contracts and supplier relationships for facility and transportation equipment.
• Manage design, installation, modification, and maintainability of plant infrastructure.
• Track engineering expenses and capital budgets, optimizing costs across business units.
• Supervise lifting tools and equipment in line with EU/Luxembourg regulations.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements.
• Support and optimize HVAC, piping (air, steam, water), cranes, sanitary systems and site infrastructure.
• Drive preventive maintenance programs, troubleshooting and hands‑on problem solving.
• Contribute to digitalization of the Facilities Management System and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• Solid experience in facilities management within manufacturing or heavy industry.
• Strong technical understanding of HVAC, piping, cranes, lifting tools and powered vehicles.
• Proven experience managing facility or mechanical projects of varying scale.
• Familiarity with preventive maintenance, energy management and regulatory compliance.
• Ability to collaborate across teams and lead cross‑functional initiatives.
• Hands‑on, solution‑oriented mindset with strong problem‑solving skills.
