Experienced Accountant – SPV Structures

About the role

Our client, a leading global alternative investment firm, is seeking an Experienced Accountant to join its boutique Luxembourg team. The role focuses on SPV accounting, reviewing service‑provider outputs and ensuring tax compliance across multiple strategies and jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Review service‑provider accounting outputs during quarterly and annual closings, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor board meetings, prepare required information and verify documentary support for accounts.
• Interpret investment structures and terms to resolve accounting and reporting issues and support audits.
• Track entity compliance, statutory filings, tax and VAT returns, cash management and expense analysis.
• Collaborate with investing, legal, tax and operations teams for seamless cross‑functional coordination.
• Oversee service‑provider quality, internal controls and drive process improvements.
• Assist with bank transfers and ad‑hoc operational or financial projects with urgency.

Required profile

• Degree in Accounting, Finance or Economics.
• Professional qualification such as OEC, ACCA (advantageous).
• Minimum 4 years of Luxembourg accounting experience in service providers, domiciliation firms or asset‑management firms.
• Strong knowledge of Lux GAAP and SPV entity structures.
• Excellent organisation, problem‑solving, multitasking and communication skills.
• Self‑starter with attention to detail, prioritisation and team collaboration.
• Fluent English; valid Luxembourg work permit required.
